We use passages like #1, #2, and #3 above, but the lines of sin (in the world we live in today) have been blurred or erased. Many do not see themselves as sinful, but are very much in violation of God’s law. “I’m no worse than the other guy” mentality – even in our congregations. What are we not teaching/preaching when it comes to man’s sin awareness?

We serve a holy God and cannot stand before Him without Christ. We need to teach/preach more effectively to help people understand God’s holiness and justice, man’s sinfulness, and Christ’s redemptive work – The Gospel.

Thanks for the post. My prayer is that more men will preach the Gospel, not just a sermon.
